Our commitment
PrescriberNow LLC ("PrescriberNow") is committed to making our website and software platform usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe healthcare technology should be available to everyone, regardless of how they access the web.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities, and easier to use for everyone.
What we have done
Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks to support screen-reader navigation.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, forms, and interactive controls.
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background that aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Resizable text without loss of content or functionality.
- Alternative text for informative images and form labels for all form fields.
- Mobile-responsive layouts that work across small and large viewports.
- Internal accessibility reviews when new features ship.
Known issues and ongoing remediation
We are not yet fully conformant with every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. We are actively working on the following areas:
- Legacy marketing pages. Some older WordPress-hosted pages may not yet meet our current accessibility standards. These pages are being migrated and reviewed.
- PDF documents. Some downloadable PDFs (for example, partner agreements) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. Tagged-PDF remediation is in progress.
- Third-party widgets. Embedded third-party content (such as our payment processor's hosted fields) is subject to that vendor's accessibility practices, which we do not control. We are evaluating vendors against our accessibility requirements.
- Live captions. Where future video content is added, we will add captions and transcripts; this is not currently a blocking issue because we do not publish video content today.
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. We test with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation, and we incorporate accessibility into our release reviews.
